SATURDAY MARCH 3rd

9:00am - 1:00pm (The Lady Fred)
Becoming a Professional Bootcamp
This will be a lecture & interactive workshop for the serious dancer. If you are already performing and teaching professionally (gaining income) but are flying by the seat of your pants, or you’re ready to start teaching and/or performing but need help getting started, then this is a workshop for you. Learn the business side of things; how to promote and legally protect yourself and your sponsor; learn how important your sponsor & community of professional dancers are.

The Lady Fred will share tips and tricks on how to manage yourself including: handouts with contract guidelines for performances & workshops that you can customize to suit your needs. You won’t learn how to be a Diva in this workshop… You learn how to act professionally and appropriately in order for all parties involved: you, your sponsor, your students, and whom ever is hiring you to benefit. This is a growing industry and though we love what we do, we also have to be honest, fair, and professional.
Bring a pen and notebook with you to class.

2:00pm - 6:00pm (Kami Liddle)
Moving With Intention
We will focus on dancing nice and slow with purpose. Isolations will be broken down and pieced together in order to move deliberately and consciously. Working on new movements in this way helps to create smooth transitions that in turn creates amazing fast combinations. Several combinations will be introduce and drilled and put together at the end of class for a short choreography.
